PAUL A. WEINTRAUB
THOMASTON..................Paul Aron Weintraub passed away peacefully with a smile on his face Monday October 21,2019 after long illnesses. He said that he wanted to be with his doggies and family on the other side. He missed them terribly.
Paul leaves A legacy of love, kindness, and talents passed on to students and lovers of the theater and the Arts. Loved and respected by so many, he would volunteer his time and talents to theater groups across MAINE, help out at schools, lend props, weapons and whatever was needed to make a theater production successful. It was his greatest passion. Paul was president of Camden
Civic Theater for more than 10 years and was a member of CCT’S board for 32 years
Paul won national awards for his painted miniatures and the miniatures in the opening scene of E.T. Were ones he painted, long before screen credit was given for such things.
He was a Master Woodcarver and did the most beautiful Magic wands,Celtic pins and TtAngel wings. He loved to play the Bodhra’n, a Scottish/Irish drum and played at Renaissance Fairs. He was known to play with fThe Chieftains, Lunesa, and other groups as well.
Paul was a D&D Dungeon Master for more than 20 years. He loved to sing and belonged to choirs as well as singing in musicals.
Paul took care of Special Needs adults for the last 13 years, working for Coastal Opportunities. He could be seen taking his clients all over Midcoast towns to socialize and have a good time.
Paul worked with Scottish Terrier Club New England Rescue for the last 11 years with his sister Ilene. Paul loved All animals and especially dogs. Every dog Paul ever met was a friend for life. He fell in love hard with his sisters Scotties 5 years ago and they were his dearest loves.
In lieu of flowers, Please makes a donation to his favorite charity..... STCNE ( Scottish Terrier Club New England) and in the memo section put FOR THE RENEE SHULMAN FUND which rescues older Scotties. The address is...

Paul was an inspiration to me. He helped me discover a whole new side of myself in the theater. He was my guide, my mentor, and my rock when I had self-doubt. He was, is, and always will be a cherished friend. Thank you, Paul, for all that you did for me.

Paul was a sweet friend to me a long time ago. I so appreciate the time he took to help me through a difficult time. I will always remember and cherish his support and understanding.
