Obituary for Zacchary Michael "Zac" Aiken

Zacchary Michael Aiken

UNION……….Our beloved Zacchary Michael Aiken, 40, passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 6, 2022. Born in Rockport on July 24, 1981, he was the son of Sonja Pease Burns and Larry R. Aiken.
Zac grew up in Burkettville and Warren, and attended local schools. Zac was very much his own man and lived life on his own terms. A perfectionist in his work, he was a self-taught carpenter and jack of all trades. Zac could fix anything. He was the proprietor of Aiken’s Handyman Service which he built from the ground up. Zac was smart, handsome, funny, hard working and was greatly loved by his family.
Zacchary married Stephanie Whitaker Aiken in 2007 and they had 2 two amazing children, Teagan, now age 15 and Christopher, now age 12. Zacchary would say that his kids were his greatest accomplishment. He was a devoted father and his kids were his first priority.
How do you sum up someone’s life in a few sentences? It is extremely hard when your heart is breaking because you can’t believe you will never see them again on this earth.
Zacchary was predeceased by his brother, Vincent Paul Galkowski; brother-in-law, Christopher Whitaker; stepfather, Daniel W. Burns; uncle, Charles E. Wyckoff,Sr.; maternal grandmother, Charlotte Hunt Pease and his paternal grandparents.

Aiken and wife Tracie; sister, Rachael Galkowski Umstead and her children, Henry and Hudson; mother-in-law, Alberta (Dusty) Lewis; grandfather, Nathan R.
