Obituary for Virginia A Olsen
BELFAST…….Virginia Agnes Olsen, 97, died peacefully with her family by her side at Tall Pines Nursing Facility in Belfast on March 30, 2022.
Born in Hope on December 18, 1924, she was the daughter of Arthur and Agnes (Fuller) Hart. She attended Camden High School and graduated in 1942. On April 6, 1946, she married Arne Robert Olsen.
Virginia and her husband owned and operated Olsen's Instant Printing on Route 1 in Northport for 40 years.
She enjoyed making ceramics, latch hook rugs, word search puzzles, her plants and especially African violets.
She was predeceased by her husband Arne Robert Olsen who died on April 30, 2010, three brothers Obed Hart, Richard and Warren Hart; and two sisters, Anna Athearn and Jane Bean.
Surviving is her son, Robert W. Olsen and his wife, Cindy of Cape Coral, FL; daughter, Susan Feix and her husband, Garret of Lincoln; her sister, Joanne Davis of FL, four grandchildren, Jaime Bennett and her husband, Cliff, of Brooks, Mindy Lancaster and her fiancé, AJ Winslow of Waldo, Kristian Torchia and his wife, Stephanie, of New Jersey and Adam Olsen and his wife, Stephanie, of NJ, her great-grandchildren, Carsen Cross, Olivia Lancaster, Brayden Torchia, Samantha Olsen,Wyatt Bennett, Madison Bennett, Chase Torchia, Odelia Lancaster, Alex Olsen,and her close friend Joan Lancaster. There will be a graveside service at 11AM, Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the Hope Grove Cemetery in Hope with the Rev. Linda Campbell Marshall officiating.
