Obituary for Stephen Turnbull

STEPHEN TURNBULL
THOMASTON………..Stephen Turnbull was born November 9, 1984 and grew up in Camden. He graduated from Camden Hills Regional High School in 2003.
After high school Steve lived in Rockland and worked with his dad in his lawn-care business. At 26, he met Karen Gilbert. They fell in love and two years later they married. They lived in Thomaston for a few years, and Steve worked for his cousin Mike at the Post Card Dude.
Karen and Stephen had a baby boy, Jackson Arnold, in 2015.
A couple of years later they decided it was time to live near Karen’s family up North.
Steve had a unique, quirky, off-beat sense of humor that delighted his friends and family. He especially enjoyed making his little boy Jackson laugh. He was an artist at heart and loved to draw and create. He had a life-time passion for music and listened to it endlessly, always searching out new groups and new kinds of music. He wrote songs and played guitar with a group of his friends when he was younger. He had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, walking, and being by the ocean.
Family was Steve’s priority in life, and he had close relationships with his sister, aunts, cousins, and parents. The love of his life was his son Jackson.
Stephen is survived by a wife, Karen Gilbert Turnbull; a son, Jackson Arnold Turnbull; mother, Shirley Quimby; father, Steven Turnbull; step-mother, Debbie Turnbull; sister, Shelby Turnbull; two half brothers, John Held, and Peter Quimby; mother-in-law Tina Gilbert; four aunts, Monalisa Quimby Canfield, Kathy Blood, Ruth Scot, and Mariah Robson; sister-in-law Phylicia Clukey; brother-in-law Darren Gilbert; three cousins, Jason Turnbull, Jennifer Blood, and Mike Blood, step-sister Debbie Palitto and step-brother Rick Palitto, as well as 4 great-nieces and two great-nephews
He will be deeply missed.
