Obituary for Matthew Lewis
MATTHEW S. LEWIS
CAMDEN………………….Matthew Shane Lewis, 37, husband of Meg Langdon-Lewis, died unexpectedly, on Saturday, October 19, 2019. Born in Portsmouth, Ohio on November 26, 1981, he was the son of Charles and Barbara (Watkins) Lewis.
In 2005, he moved to Maine and owned and operated Rockland Yellow Cab Company with his wife, Meg, and later worked as a driver at Joe’s Taxi. More recently, he drove a tow truck for All Directions Towing Company.
A happy and talented woodworker, Matthew developed his own You-Tube Channel for instruction assisting others doing projects. He also enjoyed doing oil painting.
Surviving is his wife, Margarette “Meg”, of Camden; three children, Tristan Langdon, Alyssa Lewis and Kaitlin Lewis; sister-in-law, Catherine of Rockport; other family members; and many close friends whom he thought of as family.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM, Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the West Rockport Baptist Church, 545 Park Street, Rockport, with Pastor David English officiating. If desired, memorial gifts may be made to the Lewis Children Memorial Fund, c/o Bangor Savings, Bank, 5 Commercial Street, Rockport, ME 04856.
