Obituary

MARY L. LITTLEFIELD
CAMDEN………………….Mary Louise Littlefield, 87, died at her home in Camden on Sunday, March 8, 2020. Born in Prospect on January 13, 1933, she was the daughter of Manson and Rose (Larrabee) Littlefield, and moved with her family to Camden at the age of nine. Mary was a member of the Class of 1951 at Camden High School and attended Ballard Business School in Rockland for several years.
Mary was employed by Bicknell Manufacturing in Rockland for many years and retired when it closed. In retirement, she enjoyed travelling with her sister, Winifred, to England, Hawaii, and bus tours of the West including Las Vegas, where they enjoyed shows and food. Knitting sweaters was her special hobby and many family members reaped the benefits.
Mary was a long-time volunteer at PAWS, and many cats came to live at her house over the years.
Surviving is her brother, Ernest Littlefield and his wife, Jane, of Lincolnville; nieces and nephews, Adrian and Carol Stanley of West Haven, CT; Stephen Stanley and his partner, Raymond Brooks of Londonderry, NH; Jerry Littlefield of Magnolia, TX; Irene Littlefield or Ormond Beach, FL; Andrew Young of Lincolnville, and Amy Ames of West Rockport; great nephews, Jonathan Stanley and his wife, Alyssa of West Haven, CT; Matthew Stanley and his wife, Marta and great-great-nephew, Adrian Gerard Stanley of New Haven, CT. Also, the family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks for special neighbors, Geoffrey Pittman and Lisa Millimet who were always there for her. Mary will be especially missed by her cat Pasha who has been her devoted companion for 12 years. She was predeceased by a brother, Onel Littlefield, and a sister, Winifred Stanley.
A spring graveside service in Oak Hill Cemetery in Camden will be announced. If desired, memorial gifts may be made in Mary’s memory to PAWS, P.O. Box 707, Camden, ME 04843. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.longfuneralhomecamden.com. Arrangements are with the Long Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 9 Mountain Street, Camden.
