Obituary for Lynette Woodcock

LYNETTE L. WOODCOCK
VINALHAVEN…………….Lynette L. Woodcock, 69, of Vinalhaven, died unexpectedly at her home on December 4, 2019. Born in St. George on May 12, 1950, she was the daughter of Hartland J. and Lulu (Nystrom) Small .
Lynette had worked as a bookkeeper for many businesses and organizations including Johnny Davis where she worked for over 20 years. In recent years, she was the bookkeeper for the Open Bible Baptist Church and the VFW Auxilary. Lynette had also worked as a per diem school teacher.
Lynette enjoyed attending church, and singing often with her daughter, Stephanie. She also hosted bingo, played cards afternoons with her friends, and enjoyed knitting. She especially looked forward to family gatherings each month. Lynette loved babysitting for her great-great nephew, Finley Adair. A devoted grandmother, Lynette always welcomed her grandchildren to spend time with her at her home.
Predeceased by her husband, Donald G. Woodcock, brothers, Gary Small, Lyndon Small and Stephen Small, surviving are daughters, Stephanie Sanborn and her husband, Dewey, Sandra Alley and her husband, Lyford, Susanne Woodcock and partner, Kory Dennison, Stormy Dyer; sisters, Sally Conway and husband, Dale, Brenda Philip and husband, Bruce; grandchildren, Sarina Alley, Joseph Dyer, Skyler Sanborn, Paige Dennison and Lincoln Dennison; many nieces and nephews; and her dear friends, Ethel Jones and Tony Lembo.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1PM, Saturday, December 21, 2019 at the Union Church with the Rev. John Potter and Elder Bob Candage co-officiating. Memorial gifts may be made to the Vinalhaven Ambulance Service. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.longfuneralhomecamden.com.
