HOPE………………..Lena Edna Pease, 86, widow of Floyd O. Pease, died on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at her son’s home in Hope where she lived. Born in Appleton on November 8, 1934, she was the daughter of Silvio and Chloe (Miller) Roy and was a graduate of Burketville High School.
On September 30, 1955, she married Floyd O. Pease, and resided in North Appleton, Camden, Lincolnville and Hope. Mr. and Mrs. Pease enjoyed spending the winter months in Zephyrhills, Florida after they retired. In their younger years, they loved dancing at the Blue Goose in Northport and also in Florida.
Mrs. Pease worked for a number of years as a postal delivery person delivering mail on the Route 105 route from Camden to North Appleton.
While living in Lincolnville, Mr. and Mrs. Pease had gardens producing flowers and vegetables. They enjoyed visiting with people who stopped to purchase their fresh vegetables.
Predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Floyd O. Pease on August 13, 2020, brother, Silvio Roy, sister, Annette Nash, she is survived by her son, Stephen Pease and his wife, Deborah; two grandchildren, Angela Williams, Michelle Pease, five great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, all of Hope; three sisters, Dorothy Weaver and her husband, Earl, of Camden, Kathy Packard and her husband, Bill of Union; brother, Richard Roy of Burketville; and a brother-in-law, Ralph Pease of North Appleton.
Calling hours with Covid restrictions will be held 1-3PM, Sunday, January 24, 2021 at the Long Funeral Home, 9 Mountain Street, Camden. Spring burial in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Appleton will be announced. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.longfuneralhomecamden.com.
