Obituary for David Alfred Thompson

STOCKTON SPRINGS – David A. Thompson, 69, died November 30, at Waldo County General Hospital in Belfast. He was born in Brunswick, November 13, 1952, and was the son of Raymond and Inez (Furbush) Thompson, and had served in the U.S. Air Force.
For many years David had operated an accounting business as an enrolled agent to the IRS. He had also been employed at the Rackliffe Funeral Home in Belfast. David had been very active in many different clubs and organizations.
In addition to his partner, Craig Perkins of Stockton Springs, David is survived by Bruce Thompson of Chapin, SC, Gwen Frost of Cumberland, Terry Herling of Sharptown, MD, James Thompson of Glasgow, KY, Richard Thompson of Clyde, TX, aunt, Mildred Rideout of Greene, ME, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Also surviving is his extended family, Debbie and Roy Clark, Brenda and Matthew Hoover.
Graveside memorial services will be held 11am, June 24th at Mt. Prospect Cemetery in Stockton Springs. Memorial gifts may be made to the animal shelter of your choice.
