Obituary for Clarence Hatt

CLARENCE S. HATT
VINALHAVEN……………….Clarence Silas Hatt, 64, of Vinalhaven, died on May 23, 2018 at his home after an extended illness. Born in Camden on February 17, 1954, he was the son of Lawrence A. and Olive Christine (Curtis) Hatt.
Clarence was employed by the Maine Department of Transportation Department as a bridge construction worker. He had previously lived in Jefferson and Rockland, before moving to Vinalhaven in 2000 where he worked doing lawn care and landscaping.
Predeceased by his long-time companion, Jenny “Taz” Hamilton, he is survived by three children, Candace Hatt of Lewiston, Brittany Nugent of Oxford, Nicholas Hatt of Portland; brother, Ronald Teele and his wife, Sherry of Rockland; sisters, Gloria Emery and her husband, Robert of Thomaston, Donna Mank and her husband, Wayne of Rockland; one grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
Private interment will be held in the Robbins Cemetery in Thomaston at the convenience of the family. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.longfuneralhomecamden.com. Arrangements are with the Long Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 9 Mountain Street, Camden.
