Long, Co-owner/Funeral Director of the Long Funeral Home & Cremation Service is a 1967 graduate of Searsport District High School and a 1971 graduate of New England Institute of Anatomy & Embalming in Boston. He served on the Board of Directors of the Maine State Funeral Director’s Association from 1997 to 2006 John is a member of the State Association’s Disaster Response Team having been certified through the Department of Homeland Security to respond to mass fatality incidents. In 2008, he became interested in the American Foundation For Suicide Prevention (AFSP) and sponsors one of their the Out of The Darkness Walks. John resides in Belfast with his wife, Dianne, is a member of the Belfast United Methodist Church and the Camden Lion’s Club. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Searsport Historical Society and the Camden District Nursing Association. |
| Julie Clement, Co-owner, Licensed Funeral Attendent and Business Manager Email: longfuneral@gwi.net Office Phone: 207-236-0092 Fax: 207-236-7733 Julie Karl Clement, Co-owner, Licensed Funeral Attendant, and Business Manager of the Long Funeral Home & Cremation Service, is a 1974 graduate of Rockland District High School and attended the University of Maine in Augusta. Following a career in property and casualty insurance, she entered funeral service in 1992. She has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Methodist Conference Home in Rockland since 1998, and is currently on the Board of Directors of the Camden District Nursing Association. In 2008, she became involved in the American Foundation For Suicide Prevention (AFSP) and sponsors one of their Out of the Darkness Walks. She attends the Chestnut Street Baptist Church in Camden and resides in Rockport with her husband, Bill and daughter Lindsey. |
| Elwood Doran, Licensed Funeral Attendant Office Phone: 207-236-0092 Fax: 207-236-7733 Elwood is a native of the Midcoast, graduating from Rockland District High School in 1976. He joined the Long Funeral Home family in 2009 after a 30-year career in business, retiring as COO of a statewide chain of stores serving Maine music educators. A past master of St. Paul's Masonic Lodge #82 in Rockport, he serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of their Charity Fund. A professional musician since high school, Elwood still performs locally as a member of the band Creatures of Habit. He currently lives in Camden, Maine with wife Laurie who owns Hairworks. |

Henry, Licensed Funeral Attendant, is a 1962 graduate of Rockport High School and is a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. He retired in 2005 following careers in the lobster industry and in security. A former commander and life member of the American Legion Post #1 in Rockland, he is also a life member of the VFW. He has served as a volunteer at the Knox County Humane Society and the Maine Lobster Festival. Gary resides in Rockland with his wife, Lynne and their daughter, Sarah. |

Fred Brown, Licensed Funeral Attendant, is a 1960 graduate of Bromfield School in Harvard, Massachusetts and a Veteran of the United States Air Force. In 2004 he retired after 28 years in computer sales and 10 years with the Town of Bourne/Bourne Police Department in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts. Fred has been a member of the Appleton Fire Department since his move to Appleton in 2004, previously having served over 25 years as a call firefighter in both Harvard and Bourne. Fred resides in Appleton with his wife Lynda and is a Communicant of Our Lady of Good Hope in Camden. |

Clement, Licensed Funeral Attendant, is a 2005 graduate of Camden Hills Regional High School and a 2010 graduate of University of Maine at Orono. She is also employed at Williams CPA Group in Rockport and serves as field hockey coach at the Camden Rockport Middle School and also coaches indoor field hockey during the winter months. Lindsey attends the Chestnut Street Baptist Church in Camden where she is active in youth activities and a member of the choir. |
