Obituary for Constance Lane

Constance A. Lane born January 7, 1924, passed away on June 14, 2012 at Keystone House, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry D. Lane and Linthel Calderwood Lane, a sister, Elizabeth Lane Smith and a brother, Frederick Mark Lane, USMCR, “Teddy”, killed in action during World War ll. She graduated from Bates College in 1946 with a double major in Chemistry and Biology. She worked at Rohm & Haas as a Research Chemist for 40 years and is named on 15 patents for her work. She was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church in Germantown, 35 West Chelten Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19144. A Memorial Service will followed by a tea in her honor, will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 1:00 pm. The public is also welcome to attend her burial at Amesbury Hill Cemetery in Rockport, Maine at 3:00 p.m. Donations may be made in her memory to the John Street United Methodist Church, 98 John Street, Camden, Maine 04843 or the American Legion War Memorial Post 30, P.O.
